Let’s Go Eat and Drink
Lots of good things can happen over a meal. You have a little food, a little bit to drink and the next thing you know, you’ve solved all the world’s problems. That’s what we want to do with The Let’s Go Eat and Drink Show. Every so often we, Jimmy and Bill, will find someone interesting from entertainment, the arts, chefs, distillers, brewers, or politicians, and sit down with them for some food, some drinks, and some conversation.

Bill and Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox have known each other for a long time now. They consider themselves friends even...which is why Bill's first question of the interview being "what the hell were you thinking?" makes the Lt. Gov's second appearance on The Let's Go Eat Show a little more formal than his first. Listen in as the two discuss The Eagle Forum, abortion and the run for governor in the state of Utah.

Sunday Dec 01, 2019
Hello, friends! This week, we're reposting an episode from 2013 with one of our friends who's in need. Please see this note from Bill:I had the great delight some time ago to meet a person called Princess Kennedy. It was for an interview for my podcast The Let's Go Eat Show. PK suggested we meet at Zest, a vegan restaurant that has since become a favorite spot. I found PK to be a charming guest, willing to talk about anything. She was funny, smart, sexy, and a delight to be with. And now it seems she has been brought low by a horrific accident. Please get to know her, if you don't already, through this interview. Know this: PK has no insurance. She will need alot of care both in hospital and at home to recover. You can help. Just google Go Fund Me Princess Kennedy. There are a couple of people who have set up funds. Justin Strange seems to be the main one. Or you can use Venmo @PK-Kennedy. Get better soon, Princess!Bill Allred: Host and Dick Clark: Producer

Dick Clark Interviews Bill Allred
Sunday Nov 24, 2019
Sunday Nov 24, 2019
In a flip of the script, Dick Clark (producer of the Let's Go Eat Show) sits down with Bill and asks him questions gathered from listeners, friends and ones that have been burning a hole in his brain for decades. Whether or not it turned out as Bill expected, the results are a quick glimpse into who he really is: an empathetic performer who loves what he does, who wants people to take care of each other and who has an excellent sense of humor! (and no, Bill didn't pay me to write any of this lol). Please enjoy...lord knows I did!

Sunday Nov 17, 2019
Lindsay Hansen Park is an American Mormon feminist blogger, podcaster, and the Executive Director for the Salt Lake City-based non-profit Sunstone Education Foundation. She is also an amazing historian when it comes to Utah, its Mormon pioneers how they spread out across this land back in the day. She and Bill sit down to discuss the recent tragic murders of fundamentalist Mormons living in Mexico at the hands of local drug cartels. A fascinating conversation, peppered with some laughs and odd historical facts. You don't wanna miss it!

Fran Pruyn and Julie Jensen
Sunday Nov 10, 2019
Sunday Nov 10, 2019
Fran Pruyn has been a contributor to the arts and, specifically, theater for decades here in the Salt Lake Valley. Julie Jensen is an award-winning playwright (Mockingbird - Winner of the prestigious Kennedy Center Award) who has also been artfully creating in the 801 for decades as well. So it should be of no surprise that they are collaborating on a topic unique to the state of Utah. "Two-Headed" centers around the infamous Mountain Meadows Massacre that occurred in 1857. The two protagonists are daughters of Mormon pioneers who participated in the slayings of Native Americans. For those who have grown up in the predominant Utah faith, the themes will either come as a surprise or sound all too familiar. For those unfamiliar with the history, the story will both haunt and educate. Please enjoy getting to know these extraordinary artistic women and don't forget to get tickets at https://artsaltlake.org/production/two-headed/
