Let’s Go Eat and Drink
Lots of good things can happen over a meal. You have a little food, a little bit to drink and the next thing you know, you’ve solved all the world’s problems. That’s what we want to do with The Let’s Go Eat and Drink Show. Every so often we, Jimmy and Bill, will find someone interesting from entertainment, the arts, chefs, distillers, brewers, or politicians, and sit down with them for some food, some drinks, and some conversation.

Clear Water Distilling Co.
Wednesday May 15, 2024
Wednesday May 15, 2024
Today we interview the Owners of Clear Water Distilling Co which is Utah's most innovative distillery, and possibly the most innovative out of the country. Matt has spent 20+ years traveling the world in search of the most unique tastes and distilling techniques. This deep interest combined with 25 years of business experience gave him the idea to set out and do what he truly loves: creating the best-tasting premium liquors not just for himself, but for everyone in search of something defiantly different. Stephanie is the President of the company who manages finances, and marketing.
"We feel that not being defined by a spirit category, makes for the best products because they are not constrained by the need to fit a particular category. It also gives us total freedom for creativity and results in a wonderful new pallet for bartenders and mixologists. This also results in spirits that may have never existed before and offers the consumer the chance to try something absolutely new. Imagine being Bob Ross with the restriction of only 8 colors of paint, and then your world opens up into an infinite spectrum of colorful expression."
Jimmy brought the 'Splash of News' while Bill brought a particular pallet, and Dawson kept running around. Find your favorite sipper, pop the top, and join us, as we learn about Utah's most innovative distillery!

Today we speak with Tyler Ince, who's the overall Director for Kilby Block Party. Tyler decided to show Kilby Block Party that they needed someone like him and a team like his to make something really special happen here in Utah. So, he built an amazing team of people and a great venue team at the Fairpark. 10 years ago, Tyler never would have thought he would end up in the industry of live music events, but it’s been a place that has saved him in the hard time grieving the loss of his brother.
Jimmy brought the Tequila, Bill brought memories of the Big Ass Show, and Dawson kept trying something new.

Brin Ho Ching - The Sourdoughry
Wednesday Apr 10, 2024
Wednesday Apr 10, 2024
Brin Ho Ching is the owner, baker, and recipe creator. She has had a love for baking/cooking ever since she could stand on a chair and make pancakes. Giving food is my way to show love and express gratitude. The Sourdoughry was started out of fear.
Brin is constantly afraid of dough, and was tired of having something hold her back. With trial and error she figured out how to create a loaf we loved, and couldn’t wait to share. However the menu won’t start, and end with a loaf of bread. Expansion and creation are in the works, and she cannot wait to share her ideas and products with you all.
Jimmy brought the high quality drip, Bill brought his appetite for carbs, and Dawson was happy to get his high school alumni on the podcast! Sip back, and enjoy!

Erin Mendenhall - Salt Lake City Mayor
Wednesday Apr 03, 2024
Wednesday Apr 03, 2024
Which horse runs the city? The mare of course! We are quite unqualified to have a Mayor on our show, let alone the Mayor of Utah's Capitol city! She even rode her bike to the studio, so we salute you Mayor for helping keep our air clean!
As mayor, Erin is working hard to make Salt Lake City more environmentally and economically resilient, and to take advantage of the region’s historic period of economic opportunity. She is determined to ensure every Salt Laker — no matter their neighborhood, economic or housing status, faith, race, or sexual or gender identity — can access all the city has to offer. Erin is determined to bring scientific understanding to air-quality discussions in the state legislature, our schools, and our community.
Bill was enamored by our well spoken, and determined Mayor. Jimmy was excited to share Renourish Kombucha, and Dawson was leaving doors open. Get a package of snacks, a snackage, if you will. Pour a cold one, and then join us for one of our most 'professional' episodes to date!

Wednesday Mar 27, 2024
Craig Wirth is into his second 50 years of feature reporting. His first half-century included stints as a network correspondent and Emmy Award-winning reporter at TV stations in New York and Los Angeles.
He missed Utah and started 12 years of commuting between CNBC in Los Angeles and Wirth Watching at ABC4 in Salt Lake City. He later gave up commuting to LA and took on a faculty position at his alma mater, the U of U. Of course, Utah viewers know him from decades in Utah television, his boxes of old videos, and his stories of the history of everyday life.
Bill brought his excitement to meet a legend, Jimmy brought a special light white wine, and Dawson forgot the Beehive Cheese copy, so pour one over ice, stir it nice, and join us!

Ali Vallarta - City Cast SLC Host
Wednesday Mar 20, 2024
Wednesday Mar 20, 2024
Riding horses in the Mountain West & hosting City Cast Salt Lake. Like any good mixologist, Ali Vallarta wanted to shake things up. “I found myself going to the same seven bars over and over. Like, every week, we’re back at the same places. There’s so much more to see and more people to meet.” It’s safe to say that’s no problem after her year-long adventure.
That’s because Vallarta — whose day job is hosting the City Cast Salt Lake City podcast — decided at the beginning of 2023 that she was going to do something a little crazy: grab a drink at every bar in Salt Lake County. She drank at 211 bars in all. The tour would be a bit of a logistical challenge. Sure, bars near her downtown Salt Lake City apartment would be relatively easy to pick off. But watering holes farther away required friendly designated drivers, geographic travel optimization, and, well, a lot of drinking.
We dive into Ali's bar bouncing adventure, and take a deeper dive into getting to know her through the lens of food, and drink. Bill brought his badgering of interviewing questions, Jimmy brought a luxurious Orange Wine, and Dawson hit the lights, started the camera, and put them into action.
